The students also visited the "Senior Arts & Opera Hall" to hear traditional music. Later, they explored "Zhongxing Village" to see beautiful old houses. From April 23 to 24, 2026, our seniors officially embarked on their long-awaited graduation trip! With backpacks and big smiles, they were ready for a two-day adventure to create wonderful memories together.

On day two, students took a ferry to Cijin, explored the art at Pier-2, and visited the cute animals at Shoushan Zoo. On April 20, 2026, Class 4A started an exciting journey into the world of finance! We invited Ms. Chen from Chang Hwa Bank to lead our first "Financial Literacy Workshop." Through fun activities, students began to understand the real meaning of money.

On April 9, 2026, our school’s young scientists achieved amazing results at the 66th County Science Fair! Their project, "From Waste to Wonder: Researching Eco-Friendly Bricks Made of Sugarcane Fiber," won Excellence in Applied Science and a special Inquiry Spirit Award.

Science Roots in Our Hometown

Inspired by the sugarcane crops in Erlin, students decided to turn sugarcane waste into something useful. They researched how to recycle fibers into lightweight, eco-friendly bricks. During the experiment, they carefully tested the strength, weight, and insulation of different mixtures to find the best formula.

Solving Problems for the Future

The judges praised the students for their hard work and "inquiry spirit." They showed that scientific discovery is all around us, even in the local fields! By turning agricultural waste into green building materials, these students are helping to protect our planet. A big thank you to our teachers for guiding these bright young minds to success!

On April 9, 2026, our students visited the "Yuandou Vocational Discovery Center" for a hands-on plumbing and electrical workshop! Guided by expert teacher Mr. Chen, students entered a simulated house to experience the daily work of a technician.

Learning by Doing: My First Home Repair

The "Junior Plumbers" handled every task with focus! They learned how to use "thread seal tape" to stop leaks, install faucets, and adjust water levels in toilet tanks. They even tried wiring sockets and making their own DIY extension cords.

On March 31, 2026, our school organized a fun "Four Missions Challenge" to celebrate Children's Day! Students from grades 1 to 6 worked together in small teams to complete four exciting educational stations.

The little adventurers practiced safety skills at the Disaster Prevention Station, explored stories at the Reading Magic Station, had fun with English at the Bilingual Carnival, and learned about hygiene at the Health Superman Station. It was wonderful to see students helping each other to pass every challenge!

After finishing the missions, everyone received wonderful gifts! Each student got a beautiful "Cat Bookmark Drawing Book" from the Little Happiness Foundation. Even better, there were freshly baked waffles and cookies waiting for them! A big thank you to all the teachers and staff for making this Children’s Day so special and delicious!

On December 6, 2025, we had a very happy day at Guangxing Elementary School. We had a big birthday party for our students! We sang "Happy Birthday" together and saw many beautiful smiles. Everyone made a secret wish and felt very happy. After the party, we had a fun talent show. Many students went on the stage to show their skills. Some students danced to fast music, and some students played instruments very well. We clapped our hands loudly for our friends. Everyone looked like a bright star on the stage! This activity was a great way to celebrate our friends and show our talents. We hope all the students grow up happy and healthy every day!

On December 12, 2025, a famous magic master came to our school! His name is Kazuo Kuratani, and he is from Japan. He visited Guangxing School to show us many cool magic tricks. Everyone was very surprised and shouted "Wow!" when they saw the magic. We saw things disappear and change into something else. It was like living in a dream! Mr. Kuratani is very kind, and he shared many smiles with us. We want to say a big "Thank You" to him for coming all the way from Japan. It was a wonderful day full of magic and happiness!

On December 6, 2025, our school had a very special day! We had the "3rd Guangxing Cup Road Run" to celebrate our school’s birthday. Many students, moms, and dads came to school very early. Everyone wore sports clothes and was ready to run. When we heard the loud start sound, we all ran together! It was so much fun to run with our family and friends. We saw many people smiling and shouting "Go! Go! Go!" Although we were a little tired, we did not stop. We helped each other reach the finish line. Running makes us healthy and strong. We are so proud of all the little runners! Happy Birthday, Guangxing Elementary School!

To recognize and encourage our students' hard work, we held a special awards ceremony after the recent midterm exams!

Our Principal presented beautiful certificates and lovely prizes to the students who performed excellently. This celebration shows we appreciate their effort and encourages them to keep learning!

Seeing the confident and joyful smiles on the students' faces made all the teachers very proud. Let's keep up the great work and aim for excellence in every step of our learning journey!

What's better than making your own ice cream on a hot summer day? Our school held a special "Make Your Own Taro Ice Cream" activity to let students enjoy a cool treat made with local ingredients! Guided by teachers, the students started by preparing the sweet and soft taro. They mixed the taro paste with milk and created their own delicious taro ice cream. Everyone had fun making it, and best of all, they got to enjoy the refreshing, handmade treat in the summer heat!

Our summer Science Camp was a huge hit! Teachers guided the children through many fun and interesting science experiments. The students became little scientists, using their hands to explore the science hidden in our daily lives. From cool chemical reactions to observing physical phenomena, the camp was filled with wonder and laughter, successfully sparking the children's curiosity and passion for discovery!

To celebrate the traditional Qingming Festival, our school held a special Herbal Rice Cake (Tsao-A-Ke) making activity! Under the guidance of our teachers, students learned to knead the dough and carefully fill the sweet, green rice cakes. This hands-on experience not only taught the children about Taiwanese food traditions but also gave them the joy of making delicious food for the holiday!

Our students are having fun in the "Coding for Smart Kids" program! In this class, children learn the basics of coding through hands-on practice and exploring.

The students are learning to think like programmers. They find problems, try to fix them, and slowly understand how to use logic and creativity. Every time they code and change something, they are growing smarter! Learning to code is not just about gaining skills; it's a journey where every child feels free to explore and proud of what they create.

Guangxing Elementary School invited a candy expert to teach the students how to make Dragon's Beard Candy! The children got to try this special candy craft with their own hands.

First, the students started with a sticky ball of syrup. They worked hard to pull the sugar into many thin lines, like tiny hairs. Then, they wrapped the sugar threads around tasty fillings, like peanut and sesame powder, and put the candy into a small box. The master also showed them how to do Sugar Painting, and the children watched carefully. Everyone was happy to take their special handmade sweets home!

Through remote co-learning, our students are now connecting with partners far away to learn about important world topics, like global sustainability.

This special way of learning helps our children see what is happening in the world and become better at speaking and understanding new languages. The classes use many different subjects and issues. The student partners get to talk, think, and grow together through this exchange. This co-learning experience helps every child see a wider and brighter world!
